Please read the following Terms and Conditions pertaining to your Vintage Car Hire Booking.
Clients of Occasions Vintage Car Hire are subject to the following Terms and Conditions.
Violations of these terms and conditions can result in immediate termination of contract and services, and, forfeiture of all paid deposits and fees for service.
1. Reservations and Fees
- Pricing is subject to change without notification
- All reservations require a minimum non-refundable deposit of $250 due at the time that the reservation is made.
- The remaining balance after the initial deposit is due in full, two weeks prior to scheduled event date to confirm your reservation.
- All payments are non-refundable once submitted, unless by prior negotiation.
- All bookings are not subject to ‘pricing changes’ once confirmed.
2. Security Deposit
- Occasions Vintage Car Hire reserves the right to require a refundable security deposit of $250 for certain trips at the discretion of the company.
- This refundable deposit will be refunded to the customer within 7 days of the successful completion of the reservation as long as no terms of this agreement or any other applicable company policies are violated during, or in connection with, the reservation(s).
3. Conduct
- No sale or consumption of Illegal Substances, Alcohol or tobacco is permitted in vehicles owned and/or operated by Occasions Vintage Car Hire.
- Illegal Substances or activity Occasions Vintage Car Hire reserves the right to immediately terminate any reservation, for all parties, should the use of illegal substances and/or any illegal activity by any passengers be observed, reported or suspected. There will be no refunds or compensation in any form for terminated reservations as a result of illegal or negligent behavior, by any passengers.
- Conduct. The Customer and customer’s guests will behave in an appropriate and polite manner during the term of the hire. Feet must be kept on off the seats and upholstery at all times.
- The customer shall assume responsibility for all passengers and passenger’s behavior.
Any damage, cleaning or repairs which may be required due to any act of negligence or disregard by the customer or by the customer’s guests. This is including but not limited to: gum, vomiting, spillages, breakage’s of any kind, including any chattels and/or props supplied to you by Occasions Vintage Car Hire. A clean up and/or repair fee of $250 will be charged and may result in immediate termination of the reservation. This termination is at the discretion of Occasions Vintage Car Hire - Except in the case of willful misconduct or gross negligence of the company, its agents or employees, customers herby waives any and all claims against the company, its agents or employees for injury, loss, or damage, including consequential damages, to customers person or property from whatever cause. In addition, customer waives any right of subrogation with regard to the same
- Customer understands that Acts of God, unforseen traffic and server weather conditions delay travel. There may be unexpected vehicle breakdowns and other unforseen events beyond the control of the company, for which the company shall not be liable to the customer. There shall be no recourse of any of the same
- Occasions Vintage Cars are thoroughly cleaned and checked for damage prior to each engagement.
4. After Hours, Driving Time and Stand Down Time
- After Hours means Midnight until 6:30 AM. Please discuss your after hours requirements with us prior to booking commencing. An agreed fee will be applied
- Driving Time, is a set fee of $100 per hour for traveling outside the company’s designated district area for the purpose of hire. This time will include the car/s and chauffeurs return trip to base. This charge will be at 15 minute increments.
- Stand Down Time means customer wants the vehicle and driver to be on hand for a set period while you are not using the vehicle. This charge will be at 15 minute increments.
- Over Time is Any time required past the scheduled reservation time frame. Which will be charged in 15-minute increments at the standard hourly rate for the specific vehicle type. Payment of over time must be made immediately unless otherwise agreed prior.
5. Things to be aware of
- Lost Property. Occasions Vintage Car Hire cannot be held liable for items left in any vehicle. Please inspect the vehicle prior to termination of journey.
- Chauffeur has the right to terminate the trip, without refund, if he/she feels the party is not abiding by the above rules or is putting the vehicle and/or the chauffeur at risk.
- Wedding Bookings Hood and Door ribbons are charged as an extra and set at $50 per car.
- District – Our district covers a 35km radius from Timaru Town Center. Travel outside this area is subject to ‘Driving Time’ Clause number 4
